Harm in Buddhist Organizations

Under a grant from Germany’s Federal Ministry of Education and Research, Dr. A. I. M. Anders of Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich is conducting survey research on harm in Buddhist organizations. If you were in a Buddhist organization and are interested in participating in her research, contact Dr. Anders at Miriam.Anders@campus.lmu.de.

Dr. Anders presented at ICSA’s 2019 annual conference in Manchester - see outline of her presentation. She studied for ten years in a Tibetan Buddhist context in Nepal (two university degrees in Buddhist Studies and Tibetology and Buddhist Studies) and then did doctorates in psychology and psychotherapy.

One of Dr. Anders’ recent publications is “Psychological impact of power abuse in Buddhist groups and essential aspects of psychotherapeutic interventions for the affected individuals.”
