My comment on this video:

First, something ungracious. I really didn't enjoy Tsultrim's intense lipstick. It's because I'm so angry at the crap she has pulled and frankly, the cult she has been running.

I also didn't like seeing the both of them on thrones, surrounded by all the ritual paraphernalia.

It was interesting watching her face as Tenzin Palmo spoke. Tenzin is right, "It's the system." However, she does not say that the Tibetan "system" has been thoroughly misogynistic, child abusive, theocratic and Medieval for 1000 years, rigidly stuck in endless warring, sectarian ego trips and anachronistic magical thinking.

Allione's head nodding to me was utter bs because she has been part of the concealment, the secrecy, the lack of any compassion for the victims (in fact Allione has been a victim blamer), part of the absolute power games and abjectly blind worshiping of the Vajrayana delusion, that has corrupted Tibetan Buddhism so badly and for so long, it's really not Buddhist.

I do think Tenzin Palmo is basically doing an "I got mine-ism", like she thinks there are lamas that are "pure". Matthew Remski speaks brilliantly about this "I got mine-ism" thing.

She believes in "pure" lamas, I do not. All the lamas are, in my personal experience, part of a deeply rotten, truly abusive system, that, when looked at in the light of day, rather than with abject blind faith adoration, is obviously, profoundly corrupt.

Allione is saying the exact opposite of what she has done for years, which is be supportive of the victims of sexual abuse by Tibetan lamas. She is a gross hypocrite and now the boil has been lanced and the #metoo movement underway around the planet, she has jumped on the popular bandwagon. But that does not make her a person of integrity.

It is, however a relief that she is, at least, mouthing the words she should have said decades ago because both she and Tenzin Palmo both have known, as I have known, about gross, frequent, rampant sexual abuse by Tibetan lamas of both Western and Tibetan dharma students.

The "truth and reconciliation process"? Ha! The truth is that sexual abuse of devotees is against the law. Sexual abuse of underage devotees, children or attempted rape or sexual assault are all crimes and punishable with jail time. And/or financial damages paid to the victims. So all this "reconciliation" sounds very whitewashing, minimizing and trivializing of what actually went on and has been going in the Tibetan Buddhist system since it has come West - and, frankly, had been going on in Tibet for centuries.
